With his (In)famous "Life-Saver" Special Ability, the notorious Grunt Kenny will be available to be induced by any team (including those teams that can't normally take an Apothecary*) for only 80K GOLD.

The very fact that Grunt Kenny is an Inducement rather than a Star Player means he doesn't impact your team's Tier, which makes him tremendous value. 

SPECIAL ABILITY (LIFE-SAVER): once per game, a team with Grunt Kenny may use him to "life-save" any player (except a Star Player) on that team that has been removed from play after receiving a Knocked-Out or Casualty result. Follow all the rules for normal apothecaries, as described on page 62 of The Official Rulebook.

KEEN PLAYER: If Grunt's team cannot set up 11 players at the start of a drive, you can choose to set him up as part of your team. If you do so, he counts as part of your team for the duration of the drive. However, such is his popularity amongst players, fans and referees alike, Grunt can continue to be set up as part of your team at the start of every drive as long as you are unable to set up 11 players.

NOTE: Grunt Kenny CAN use his Life-Saver Special Ability whilst on the pitch, but he must be within 3 squares of the player that has been removed from play after receiving a Knocked-Out or Casualty result. Grunt must be standing and have his tackle zones.

* If induced by a team with the "Sylvanian Spotlight" or "Favoured of Nurgle" Special Rules, Grunt acts as a Mortuary Assistant or Plague Doctor respectively, as per page 91 of The Official Rules

Can Grunt use his Life-Saver Special Ability while incapacitated in any way?
No. If Grunt is on the pitch, he must be standing and have his tackle zones. If not on the pitch, Grunt must not be in the Knocked Out box of the dugout, nor have been placed in the Dead/Injured box of the dugout due to suffering a Casualty.
 

Can Grunt use his Life-Saver Special Ability on himself?
No. A player cannot use the Life-Saver ability on themselves.
 

Can Grunt use his Life-Saver Special Ability after being Sent Off?
Yes. While Grunt cannot return to the pitch after being Sent Off, he may still use his Life-Saver ability from the dugout.
 

Can Grunt be treated by an Apothecary?
No. As per the Apothecary rules, they cannot be used on any Induced players.
 

Does using Grunt Kenny's Life-Saver ability when he is on the pitch count as his activation if the injury occurs during his team's turn?
No. It is a passive ability (like Pick Me Up), not a Special Action.
 

If Grunt is on the pitch and multiple players, including Grunt, become incapacitated simultaneously (bomb, multi-block, etc.), can Grunt use his Life-Saver ability on another player?
No. If Grunt is incapacitated, he cannot use his Life-Saver ability, regardless of when or how the incapacitation occurred.
 

Is Grunt affected by Sweltering Heat weather conditions? Can he use his Life-Saver ability if affected?
Yes, Grunt is affected. If Grunt is on the pitch when a drive ends under Sweltering Heat conditions, he may be randomly selected as one of the D3 players from his team to be placed in the Reserves box. If Grunt is placed in the Reserves box due to Sweltering Heat, he cannot use his Life-Saver ability until he returns to play.
